There are seven specific things we especially value as a church. These are things we want to learn, practice and teach in all our ministries.

We want to be a …

1. Worshiping Church

In the Westminister Shorter Catechism, the question “What is the chief end of man?” is answered; “Man’s chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him forever.” We believe the highest call of man is to worship God.

2. Praying Church

Prayer is like breathing. Without prayer we very quickly become spiritually unfruitful, even dead. There is an old saying that puts it into perspective: “No prayer, no power. A little prayer, a little power. A lot of prayer, a lot of power.”

3. Evangelizing Church

A church that doesn’t reach out soon becomes a pond, but a church that keeps on reaching out to people who don’t know Jesus is like a river. Those who have been saved have the responsibility to share the good news with the people who don’t yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

4. Missionary Church

Of the 16,789 people groups on earth, 6,950 are still considered un-reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ. There are almost 3 billion people who still haven’t heard the gospel. We want to support missionaries and Biblical Missions all over the world, especially in the so-called 10/40-window.

5. Biblical Church

The Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God. We want to be theologically sound and deeply rooted in what God has said in His book. We honor, cherish and love the Bible!

6. Charismatic Church

The Holy Spirit was given as the greatest gift to the church of Jesus Christ. We believe in the infilling and the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and in the gifts of the Spirit that are mentioned in the New Testament. In our relationship with the Holy Spirit we want to be “supernaturally natural and naturally supernatural.”

7. Giving Church

“For God so loved the world, that he GAVE his one and only Son.” (John 3:16) God is the greatest giver in the whole universe. He gave and He still gives. God wants to bless us as his children, so that we can be a great blessing to others.

These values can be summed up in our mission statement: it’s all about loving God and loving people.
